The Colony is a multidiscipline art house and creative hub – a platform for artistic expression and freedom. Our core principle is a deep appreciation of the arts, irrespective of genre or language, with a vision to encourage creativity and imagination.

Our educational and vocational programs promote dynamic and collaborative learning experiences for a diverse community. We aim to nurture talent by providing exciting opportunities for artists to grow and explore. Through understanding tradition and celebrating innovation, we are eager to build audiences for the arts in Pakistan and beyond.

The Colony has hosted some of the most prominent names in the industry – including Sarmad Khoosat, Meekal Hasan, Nighat Chaodhry, Talal Qureshi, Komail Aijazzudin, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Alee Hassan to name a few – spanning a wide range of art forms.

SAAD SHEIKH

A filmmaker by profession, Saad is the co-founder at The Colony and previously founded Sway Dance Project. With over 25 shows under his direction including the likes of Carousel, West Side Story, Dracula, Hamilton, Rent and, The Other Side. Saad is also a modern contemporary dancer extensively trained in Martha Graham technique.

SALMAN JAHANGIR

Salman is a linguist sector specialist and the Director of one of the leading language service providers based in London. With an avid passion for the arts, Salman is focused on providing a sustainable platform for artists in Pakistan along with promoting international cultural exchange and engagement.

Bibi Hajra Arbab

Bibi joins our team as a business and corporate strategy consultant. She has worked in the business sector of the motion picture industry in Hollywood and is currently working in one of the leading entertainment studios based in Los Angeles.

Faizan Ali Batalvi

Faizan has been managing the curation of over 40 events at The Colony. Managing classes, studio rentals, and weekly events. In addition, he is trained in Urban Movement Dance and Martha Graham technique.
